Barefoot Running

Photographed for a new book, these images were taken on a cold winters morning in central London. Starting on the Millennium bridge at dawn, with St. Paul's in the background, photographs were then taken in the city.

Barefoot running is a growing trend, with it's advocates stressing the health benefits and the reduced risk of injury.
The running style is quite different from running in shoes, with the foot landing flatter, rather than on the heal.

These images, along with studio shots of different exercises are for a new book on barefoot running, due out later in 2012.
